The O2 is an all-rounder orchestral mouthpiece for the principal trombonist. It achieves a full sound with plenty of core that is not too dark. The design combines a medium-deep cup with a classic orchestral throat and balanced backbore, utilizing Harry’s classic Retro Blank to enhance projection and add color to the sound. Other tweaks to the shank engagement and throat shape balance out the design and overall blow.
The result is a mouthpiece capable of meeting the demands of the full orchestral repertoire and ensures that the principal trombonist’s sound is carried all the way to the back of the concert hall without compromise.
